6th Challenge - Windows or Doors or Anything Goes

Hi everyone

Thank you for your wonderful entries for our last challenge, some gorjuss ones there and very inspiring.

The winner of the Vintage Goody Bag is

Lydia - So email me hun at craftymess@rocketmail.com and let me have your details

The Prize for this Challenge is quite Apt - Its Frames

I have these in several different styles, they are from Darkroom door - so the winner can choose her or his favourite

Okies, without further ado,  for this fortnight the theme is ANYTHING GOES - If you want to challenge yourself Sandie  has chosen the aditional theme of Windows or Doors if you want to go a little further and follow Sandie, then let the fun begin

Heres what our wonderful teamies have come up with this time

Sandie

For my "Windows" atc, I used inks to shade the background, then stamped this lovely image of a wrought iron window frame. Then I carefully cut the 2 windows, adding the sentiment and the image of the girl and a victorian chair. Finally I mounted this on to a blank atc, trimming off the top edges of the canopy in line with the stamp.

Lisa Sparkle

Image is a Lavinia stamp. Background is made with Dylusions spray inks. Additional highlights with Sakura glaze gel pens and diamond Stickles.
I went for windows, I've always loved this little stamp and I can just imagine the little fairies who live there! I was intending to colour the image in, but the background I used was so stormy and colourful I thought the contrast with black and white was more effective.

Abbie

Made with a door/window image behind the window is a victorian lady with bicycle, colored with gel pens, the backing paper is a page from an old book and inked.

Caro

Here is my little ATC - Who's home is this? Peek through the door to see. Made with the use of chalk inks, door template, copic colouring & stamping

For my ATC this week I dug out my Crafty Individual stamps.  I've used CI-232 and stamped them in Stampin' Up Early Expresso onto brown card.  Then I've cut and mounted them onto some cream card that has one of the other stamps from the set stamped at an angle in SU Sahara Sand and then everything is mounted onto a dark brown ATC.

I was running a little late with this one as I have been making my guinea pigs a new home, as I was running late I decided to make a digi atc with serif craft artist, it was a task to find a door or window but there is one in the bird house. I have printed it out too.

The background was painted using watercolour paints and then shimmer added using Twinkling H2O's. I stamped the tree in Vintage Sepia VersaFine ink and then hand drew the ground and word 'tree'. Finally I overstamped using a script stamp and VersaMagic Thatched Straw  and distressed the edges with a dark cerise ink.

I have used my Vintage photography from Creative Expressions - I have done a Window Frame and used the man with the brolly (quite apt, as its pouring down here) - I double embossed the frame and used the wording from the same set.  I have used distress inks as the colours this time
