ACT Challenge

ATC stands for Artists trading card which were originally given by artists as a sample of their works. They are bits of card that measure 3.5 x 2.5 inches exactly. You decorate one side using a range of techniques and then write on the back a title for it, the date and who its made by.

Hi everyone

Thank you for all your wonderful entries, there were some wonderful creations there and I felt inspired by them all. We will be back later for the winners post

Right onto our next challenge - The wonderful Caro has choosen this one

Beach/Seaside but she would like to see non flat entries, so decoupage, shells, sand etc to give it a bit of height somewhere

The prize this time is

A mixed bag of Buttons

So remember to follow the rules which are above

We are an ATC Challenge Blog - Which means this is for Challenges that have ATCs only

So here are what the wonderful teamies have come up with

Done using acrylic paints, shells from my beach and stamped decoupaged image of huts coloured with copics

JAY

Shell shocked, covered ATC base with PVA glue applied crushed sea shells onto it, allowed to dry then added further two shells again with PVA glue once all dried added Silver Sprakle Fairy dust hope you like it.

Tony

I made the background with blue glitter glue, and the bottom half with seed beads (pinched from my cross stitcher wife). I made the frame from gold card and then an All out yesterdays topper with metal shell charms.

Abbie

Beach Huts - made using a photo, cut into strips, small shells and glitter glue and a Seagull colored with a silver gel pen

Leah

Some fun with the rabbit in the sun  lol

Sandie

For the back ground I used some windbreak style paper from my stash, I then used a picture of Dolphins to make in to a body board, adding a wrist cord and brad for effect. Finally layered some paper shells to finish the scene.

Fiona

For this atc I used a inkadinkado clear stamp then brayered the background, stuck on a beach and some small shells.

For this challenge I've made a triptych ATC (that's an ATC in 3 parts). I stamped my scene using Hobby Arts Coastal Scene-Its onto watercolour paper and then painted it using Koh-i-noor watercolour paints and Whispers pens.

"Beside the Seaside" I used a collage of scraps of patterned paper to make the beach scene and then stamped out the beach hut and boat and layered on top.

I used Distress inks to do the backing and then sprinkled on some embossing powder then reinked using distress inks again, this has given it a resist look and feel. I got the image from google along with the wording and added some shells to the bottom

 Lisa Sparkle

Sandcastle Memories- the image is from a gorgeous Stampin' Up stamp set, the background is an old book page, lightly stippled with Distress Inks. The image is very gently coloured with Promarkers, just around the edges for some definition. Plus, a little red spade, because my bucket and spade were red when I was a child!
